Is the New OCHSA “Safety Officer” an (Oxy)moron? Yes!

Can You Say OCSA? Would You?

Apparently as OCHSA grows, celebrates its 25-year anniversary and continues to evolve as a “premier school of the arts” there has been some mention about having the school’s name actually reflect the true state of the school, which means recognizing that in fact, it’s not just a high school. Orange County High School of the Arts serves student in grades 7 through 12 meaning that it encompasses a fully fledged middle school in addition to a high school. So if the “H” in OCHSA stands for “high” and you remove that, you get OCSA, short for Orange County School of the Arts. Continue reading »
