7th – 12th Grade: The Classical Voice Conservatory is designed as an intensive program offering pre-professional operatic training for talented young singers. Courses offer practical experience in the preparation and performance of audition selections, competition, and recital techniques, with an emphasis on standard operatic literature. In addition, all students receive individual vocal coaching and instruction from experienced professionals. Master classes, with internationally acclaimed singers, conductors, and stage directors, are also offered throughout the school year.
Students have learned from esteemed guest artists such as: Steven Mercurio Diana Soviero Allison England Joseph Bascetta Brian Jauhiainen Jonathan Mack Gary Glaze Cynthia Munzer Bernard Uzan John DeMain Yves Abel Maitland Peters Luis Ledesma Chanticleer The Opera & Choral Conservatory has collaborated in performances with Los Angeles Opera, Pacific Chorale, Pacific Symphony and many other arts organizations throughout Southern California. Graduates of the conservatory have been accepted into prestigious universities and arts conservatories, including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of Southern California, Chapman University, and Eastman School of Music.
