Grades 9th-12th: The Orange County High School of the Arts is pleased to introduce a Culinary Arts and Hospitality Conservatory for ninth through twelfth grade students available in the 2012-2013 school year. This new program is designed to embrace, nurture and expand a student’s passion for food, creativity and excellence.
The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Conservatory will offer comprehensive instruction of cooking fundamentals as well as practical business applications featuring a four-year curriculum in alignment with some of the world’s most respected post-secondary culinary programs. The conservatory will provide highly motivated individuals with the tools necessary to succeed in their chosen niche within the hospitality industry. Guided by a staff of highly qualified instructors, students will develop competencies in both classic and modern kitchen techniques. Emphasis will be placed on professionalism, creativity, integrity and work ethic.
Throughout the Culinary Arts and Hospitality program, students will focus on industry standards, including safety, organization, cost control systems, and more. This will be achieved through learning-centered instructional methods and hands-on practical lessons that will give students valuable real-world experience.
