International Dance

7th – 12th Grades: The International Dance Conservatory features a diverse offering of international dance forms, including Ballet Folklorico and other Latin-inspired styles, such as Flamenco, Salsa, Samba, and Tango. Additional International dance styles may be added in the future as the program expands, such as African dance, Bollywood, Irish dance, Latin ballroom (Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Paso Doble) and Standard ballroom (Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz).

  1. If I’m new next year, and not in the dance conservatory, can i still take ballroom 1? And will i be the only junior??? When i think 1 i think middleschoolers…and a guarantee my partner will be shorter than me, I’m 6’2 female… >_>

    • Hi Kaila!

      Yes, you can take Ballroom 1 in any grade and conservatory. You just have to request it as one of your P.E. choices and hope you get in! And I think you may be right. You are tall! You’ll probably have a hard time finding a partner who is taller, or even as tall, as you are. Oh, well. I think you will still have fun ;)
